Launch of VLCC berth 1 at The Port of Fujairah

A 15 days Mission accomplished with 100% Success Rate. The Scope involved Designing, Implementation and Execution of the Concept for the Grand Launch of the VLCC (Very large Crude Carrier) Berth at the Port of Fujairah. This was our Third Event in Fujairah. Our Previous Events were the Designing Implementation and Execution of the ArabMed Conference in 2014 followed by National Day Celebrations for Fujairah National Group.

As per the brief received, we had to design a platform that can accommodate around 300 persons that included Media from around the Globe and Top dignitaries. The design submitted was immediately approved by the Authorities from the Port. As per the Plan, we raised a platform to 5 Meters in Height above the Break-Water Wall in order that every single visitor can view the Berth. On the Platform we build up an A-Shaped Tent that accommodated the Visitors and made them feel comfortable. The Grand Launch began by the National Anthem followed by a Speech and a Presentation from Captain Mousa Murad.

As an Event Management Company in Dubai, it was mandate to ensure the safety of all the visitors attending the Event. With a Platform that measured 15mtrs Depth x 60mtrs Width and a 5mtrs Height, we ensured that the platform was strong enough to bear a weightload of 500 People.

It was indeed a success and we are glad to share with you the below images and videos of the Event.

His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, launched the UAE’s first very large crude carrier (VLCC) jetty on the Indian Ocean which will leverage the Port’s strategic position at the heart of rising energy trades along the South-South Corridor.

“The Port of Fujairah’s launch of the first VLCC berth on the Indian Ocean is integral to supporting the UAE’s energy demands and keeping pace with what is an intensely competitive sector,” said Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Department of Industry and Economy, and Chairman of Port of Fujairah.
